Data gathering and dealing with the
dreaded providers, if needed
Data gathering is a critical aspect of financial planning which involves us collecting and analysing relevant information to support the development of financial plans and investment strategies. Where necessary, we’ll call providers on your behalf to obtain the information that we need.
Though none of us like it, calling providers remains an essential part of data gathering, and it can be a time-consuming task. Typically our calls enable us to verify ambiguous plan information, locate the correct SEDOLs for the funds invested, gather details on fees and charges, and request tax related data. In some cases, it may be necessary to follow up multiple times to obtain the information needed.
Data gathering (and calling providers *sad face*) are crucial aspects of financial planning that require diligence and attention to detail. By gathering accurate and comprehensive data and following up with providers as needed, we can ensure that we have the information needed to develop sound financial plans that meet the unique needs of your clients.
